We started all this last month, and we got an awesome response from a lot of our members
7 entries got submitted to our Recipe Challenge folder, and it was not easy at all to choose the winners.
For me, you all baked yummy looking cakes, and I would've loved to be your guest for a cup of tea along with a piece of cake.
First Place, which was given to the "Best Capture" of the Recipe goes to:
We liked how you showed the pieces of the cake nicely aligned on your plate, and how you involved the essential ingredient: apple- in the background.
You will receive a 3-months Premium Membership from Moonbeam13
Second Place, which was given to the "Most Creative Change" to the recipe goes to:
Your changes in the recipe sounded yummy, though they didn't change the main recipe too much. I liked how you substituted cinnamon with lemon peel to go along with the blueberries.
You will receive 100 points from Moonbeam13

Now on to our October Challenge!
This month we will have something italian, and something you might not even have heard of before!
"Pesto is a sauce originating in Genoa in the Liguria region of northern Italy and traditionally consists of crushed garlic, basil, and European pine nuts blended with olive oil, Parmigiano Reggiano (Parmesan cheese), and Fiore Sardo (cheese made from sheep's milk)."
The most famous of all pestos is probably the "Pesto Genovese" which is what we will give you as a recipe!
In addition to this yummy basil paste, which you can eat with your pasta, on your bread, and many more, we will add dried tomatos which will give it an even more italian round-up and creates something more special, than the average pesto.
On the deviation above you will find the recipe and a step-by-step.
We want you to make your own pesto and take a photo of it in the glass, on your pasta, or whatever you think would look fancy
Your submissions for the challenge can be submitted here
Prizes will be the same as last time
3 month subscription to the best capture of the recipe
100 points to the one who made the most creative change to the recipe
Deadline will be 4th of November!
